The spring cleanup is the start of the gardening year. Flower beds are cleared of winter debris and early weeds, the lawn is raked clean of leaves and moss, the edges are cut and paths and patios are swept free of grit. Perennials are cut back, shrubs are tidied and anything broken over the winter is dealt with.
Our cleanup specialist Lövet goes through the whole plot systematically. If you also want the lawn aerated, the hedge trimmed or new plants put in, just add more specialists to the same booking – we coordinate everything in one visit.
With waste removal as an option, Åke ÅVC leaves the plot completely clean, and with a seasonal contract we then carry on with mowing and maintenance all summer.

Frequently asked questions about spring cleanup
When should the spring cleanup be done?
As soon as the snow is gone and the ground has dried out, usually from late March to early May. Service Plus books you in when it suits your plot.
What do you do about moss in the lawn?
We rake or scarify the moss out and, where needed, recommend aeration and fertilising so the grass takes over again.
Is spring cleanup covered by the RUT deduction?
Yes. Garden cleanup on the plot of your home qualifies for a RUT deduction (the Swedish tax deduction for household services) of up to 50% of the labour cost. Waste removal is not covered by RUT.
Can you keep looking after the garden after the spring cleanup?
Yes. Many customers move on to a seasonal contract with lawn mowing, trimming and hedge trimming after the spring cleanup. We set it up to suit your garden.
