Which surfaces do we clear for businesses?

All surfaces the business is responsible for, in the order of priority set out in the contract:

• Customer car parks, staff car parks and access roads
• Entrances, steps, ramps and disabled parking spaces
• Loading zones, loading bays and goods entrances
• Pavements along the property in line with the municipality's regulations
• Outdoor seating areas, squares and courtyards
• Roofs, canopies and entrance canopies with an icicle risk

When do we turn out?

The call-out time is adapted to the business. Shops and restaurants usually want everything ready an hour before opening, warehouses and terminals want the loading zones cleared before the night's first delivery, and offices want entrances and car parks ready by seven o'clock. During continuous snowfall we return during the day as set out in the contract, and during freezing rain we grit even without snow.

Liability, insurance and documentation

The property owner or tenant is responsible for ensuring customers and staff are not injured because of snow and ice. After every call-out you receive a report with the time, surfaces and photos, which is the evidence insurers and courts ask for if a slipping accident is reported. Service Plus has liability insurance and works with its own equipment.

Several properties or entire portfolios

Property companies and property managers get one contract covering all addresses, with routes planned so that the most sensitive surfaces are taken first. We are happy to coordinate with the technical management and report issues directly, such as broken lighting or ice forming from downpipes that needs attention.
